DEVCOM in collaboration with International Organization for Migration (IOM) Bangladesh organized a validation consultation on the findings of gaps assessment of the existing housekeeping manual and training. The validation consultation was organized in the mini-conference room of BMET Bhaban. The discourse aimed to present the key findings from the gaps and needs analysis process and to seek participants’ and experts’ recommendations to validate the findings and establish a clear path for future actions. A total of 17 participants joined in the validation consultation where key persons from the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET), IOM, and DEVCOM were present. Additionally, principals and instructors from 56 Technical Training Centres (TTCs) attended the consultation remotely. The validation presented the findings on the identified gaps which were conducted through a holistic manual review and qualitative data collection from the field. The presentation encompassed gaps related to the structure and content of the manual, as well as gaps in the training process and management, including the admission and assessment of training.
