Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation Bangladesh successfully completed the implementation of the Strengthened & Informative Migration System (SIMS) project in March 2024, with funding support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). To assess the project's successes and challenges, Helvetas conducted a Lessons Learned study with technical assistance from the Center for Development Communications (DEVCOM). The study aimed to identify key factors contributing to the project's success, areas for improvement, and notable success stories to enhance future processes, procedures, and overall project management. - Developed qualitative data collection tools.
- Interviewed project staff from three migration NGOs, migration-related stakeholders, aspirant and returnee migrant workers, and their family members.
- Conducted a Lessons Learned workshop to gather insights from field-level staff on the implemented activities.
- Presented a keynote paper on the study’s findings at a national-level workshop.
- Submitted the Lessons Learned report.
This study provides valuable insights for refining migration-related interventions and strengthening future project implementation.
