DEVCOM designed and revised the Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) program to support BOESL in strengthening its technical capacity to deliver sector- and country-specific inclusive PDO. This initiative aimed to address the critical need for widespread PDO to enhance the positive outcomes of migration. To align the manual with the current context, DEVCOM conducted interviews and facilitated a consultation workshop with BOESL trainers, current women migrants in Jordan, and Jordanian employers to assess field-level needs. Based on these insights, DEVCOM submitted a Needs Assessment Report to IOM and revised the outline of the PDO manual. Finally, DEVCOM redesigned and developed the manual along with interactive training materials, incorporating findings from interviews and updated information, and submitted them to IOM.
